Track Families,
Good evening, I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! This Tuesday May 7th, we are having our Sub District Track Meet at the North Eugene High School Track vs Kennedy, Roosevelt and Madison Middle Schools. I have attached student event entries and a schedule of events. All entries are final and students are able to scratch an event at the meet, but not add an event at the meet. Rules are strict at the Sub District and District Meet. I did my very best to put students in multiple events, so they have an opportunity to qualify for Districts and possibly State May 23rd. Athletic.net will be timing our races at Sub Districts and record FAT Times that will be official.
At our district coaches meeting I made sure all of our track kids were in an event, so that all students can participate. I was able to enter our top 4 athletes in each event per grade level, per gender. Then add more students, if other schools couldn't fill event spots. At the Sub District Meet I will be the head official at the finish line and our other coaches will be running the discus event, measuring and recording throws. Parents if you can make it please come and watch our Mustangs shine!

Student Dismissal: 10:30 AM
Load Buses: 10:45 AM
Field Events: 12:00 PM
Running Events: 1:00 PM
Destination: North Eugene Track
Return Time: 7:30 PM
Parent Sign Out Sheet: This binder will be on the bottom bleacher next to our team camp.
Administrator: One of our administrators will be at the meet supporting student behaviors. Students will not be able to run around on the infield and will only go to the clerk check in tent in the middle of the football field to check in with the meet clerk and get to their running event.
Relay Team Information: All (A) 4X100m and 4X400m relay teams will qualify for our district track meet at Willamette High School May 16th, as long as they run and complete their races at Sub Districts. For the District Track Meet all B team relay teams will be put in as alternate runners for the A relay teams, so this gives them an opportunity to run at Districts, if something were to happen to an A team relay runner, who cannot participate for any reason. I know most kids have not run a 4X400m or 4X100m relay this year, but If I didn't make up our teams other schools would of taken our spots for the District Meet. Please tell your kids to run these and just have fun.
Please remind your child to pack their track gear the night before. I will also make this announcement at practice. This includes, track singlet (uniform), track jacket, running shoes and spikes, water bottle and snacks. We will have water available for athletes at the meet. Este martes 7 de mayo vamos a tener nuestro Sub Distrito Track Meet en el Norte de Eugene High School Track vs Kennedy, Roosevelt y Madison Middle Schools. He adjuntado las inscripciones de los estudiantes y un calendario de eventos. Todas las entradas son finales y los estudiantes son capaces de rascar un evento en la reunión, pero no añadir un evento en la reunión. Las reglas son estrictas en el Sub Distrito y Distrito Meet.
