Student Meal Information

Free meals will be available to ALL students in 4J schools throughout the 2021–22 school year, thanks to the extension of a federal program that makes it possible to provide free meals without application requirements.

In an attempt to minimize the number of students gathering and eating together, students will have the option of eating breakfast/lunch in the Cafeteria or outdoors in the Courtyard and/or tables under the covered areas.

You may pay for meals directly in the cafeteria or you can place money in your student’s cafeteria account by using the online system. Students will need their student ID number to purchase food. It takes 2-3 days for deposits and purchases to show up in the account. There is a 6% service fee when you pay online. Click here to pay for meals online. Please contact Food Services at (541) 790-7656.

Students will no longer be able to “charge” a meal to their account without money being money on the account. Any student who does not have money in their account will have to pay with cash.

Students with a negative balance or who do not have money will be given a free emergency meal (cheese sandwich, milk & salad bar).

  • Breakfast    $1.75  (Free for free & reduced)
  • Lunch          $3.25  (Free for free & reduced)

Free & Reduced Meals Program

In addition to receiving FREE or REDUCED MEALS, there are EXTRA BENEFITS as well; students on this program can also qualify for reduced rates at Kidsports, and other programs such as the City of Eugene’s RecZone.

This is a CONFIDENTIAL program. The only people who will know your child is receiving benefits are the nutrition staff (unless a release form is submitted in order for us to release information to Kidsports, LTD or other organizations offering benefits to qualifying students). Children receiving free or reduced-price meals are not identified to other students or adults.
