We're almost here- the 2026/2027 school year! As we inch closer we wanted to remind you of a few school, district, and community opportunities below:
Project Hope: Mark you calendar! Families with students enrolled in Eugene School District 4J can begin registering online on Monday, August 24, starting at 7 a.m., for this year’s Project Hope 4J WEBSITE back-to-school events. Project Hope provides students with new athletic shoes, socks, backpacks filled with school supplies, and other resources at no cost to help students begin the school year ready to learn.

What Families Need to Know
Registration opens Monday, August 24, at 7 a.m.
Participation is by appointment only, and appointment times fill quickly.
Each registered student must be present at their scheduled appointment time. Parents and caregivers do not need a separate appointment.
Each student may participate at one Project Hope location only.
Families should arrive at their scheduled appointment time—not earlier—to support a welcoming and streamlined experience.

Welcome Back 2 School Event: Thursday, August 27th from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM (drop by anytime- optional) at Monroe. During the event, you can:
Fill out important forms
Pick up student schedules
Meet our office staff
Participate in a Q&A session
Take a self-guided school tour
Practice using lockers
Set up Canvas and ParentVue accounts
Purchase school merchandise
and more!
***Optional school tour for NEW 7th/8th grade students 10-11 am (meet in Front Office)
Monroe Open House: Thursday, Sept. 17th, 5:15-7:15 pm. It’s a great opportunity for a brief meet and greet with our staff and enjoy some FREE Pizza! You will get the chance to hear from our staff and visit classrooms! REMINDER- this is just an introduction to the staff and school year. If you have questions for specific teachers, please reach out to them directly to arrange a time to talk.
