6/5 Monroe Fri-YAY
Hello Monroe families,
We are heading into the final week of school—hard to believe! Thank you for your continued support, partnership, and engagement throughout the year. Let's finish strong together.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our annual 8th Grade Student vs. Staff Basketball Game. It was a fantastic event filled with school spirit, friendly competition, and plenty of excitement. In the end, the students pulled off a dramatic victory with a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer! Special thanks to the University of Oregon Duck Football players who joined us and helped make the event even more memorable for our students.
As we prepare for 8th Grade Promotion, we are looking for lots of help—especially from our 6th and 7th grade families—during the school day to decorate our courtyard. This is a wonderful Monroe tradition and a great way to honor our outgoing 8th grade class as their families prepare to celebrate this important milestone. No need to have amazing decorating skills as your presence is enough to help with all the little things! If you are available to help, please consider signing up HERE or using the information below. Your support helps create a memorable experience for our students and families.
Thank you again for helping make Monroe such a special place. We are looking forward to a great final week of school!
Go Mustangs!

6th/7th parent volunteers to help set up for 8th grade promotion: This is such a special time of year for our 8th grade families, so we are asking out 6th and 7th grade families to help them enjoy the day by signing up for set-up or supervision during 8th grade promotion. This is a way of paying it forward as the same thing will be asked of 6/7th parents when your student is an 8th grader! To sign up to help decorate on 6/11, sign up HERE . If you want to help supervise the night of promotion, sign up HERE .

Staff transitioning next year: As we approach the end of the school year, we wanted to share that several staff members will not be returning next year. These transitions are the result of a variety of factors, including district budget reductions, staffing adjustments, and personal or professional opportunities. While change can be difficult, we are grateful for the positive impact these staff members have had on our students, families, and school community. We thank them for their dedication and service and wish them the very best in their next chapters. At the same time, we are excited to welcome new staff members to Monroe next year. We are currently finalizing staffing for the 2026–27 school year and look forward to introducing our newest team members over the summer. We will have additional staffing updates to share in our final end-of-year newsletter. Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we close out another successful school year.
