Dear Monroe Families-

Today, your 6th or 7th grade student will be bringing home their elective forecasting form for the 2025–2026 school year. To help explain the process, we’ve included a short 2-minute video for you to watch together:

We've also included a link to the elective course descriptions to help your student make informed decisions.

Quick overview:

• On the front of the form, students need to choose either Classic Monroe or SI Monroe (Spanish Immersion).

• All students will take 4 elective classes next year:

  • On the back, students should select 4 primary elective choices.

    • SI students will only choose 3 primary choices (Discover is a required semester elective for SI).

  • In the bottom section, they should pick 3 alternate choices that are different from the ones above.

• The left column lists year-long electives (each counts as 2 choices).

• The right column lists semester-long electives (each counts as 1 choice).

• Electives marked with an asterisk  require an application, interview, or prerequisite.

📅 Forecasting forms are due back to your student’s Connect teacher by Monday, April 14.
