Monroe Families,
Thank you for a fantastic first week back from Spring Break! There’s been a noticeable buzz of positive energy in the building—from both students and staff. It’s been awesome to walk through classrooms this week and see so many high-leverage, engaging learning experiences happening.
From students building wind turbines, measuring heart rate with laps around the courtyard, collaborating in Math, diving deep in Social Studies, and leading impactful projects in Leadership—there is so much to celebrate!
Looking ahead, next week kicks off a very busy time with activities, field trips, and the final week of the quarter. Please encourage your student to check in with teachers, get any missing work turned in, and finish the quarter strong. We've got this!
As always, thank you for your support and partnership.
Go Mustangs!

Happy Assistant Principals Week! Next week, we celebrate the incredible dedication, leadership, and heart our assistant principal Megan Selner brings to our school every single day. Please help me in thanking her for her unwavering commitment, care for our students and staff, and the many ways she makes our school a better place to learn and grow. Help by sending her a positive email at selner_m@4j.lane.edu

School Transportation Survey: We Want to Hear From You!
In partnership with the City of Eugene, we’re asking all parents and guardians to take a few minutes to fill out a brief survey about your child’s daily commute to school. Your feedback will help us better understand transportation needs and improve options for all families. The survey is quick, confidential, and your responses will remain anonymous.
As a thank you, everyone who completes the survey by April 20 will be entered into the City of Eugene’s random drawing for a chance to win one of twelve $25 gift cards! Please take a moment to share your thoughts by filling out the survey here: School Transportation Survey. Your input is invaluable and we appreciate your time!
Monthly Mustang: see the latest addition of our student-led E-newspaper HERE!
Student Forecasting: Next week, all current 6th and 7th grade students will receive their schedule forecasting sheet in their Connect class. These forms will help us plan student schedules for next school year.
What You Need to Know:
Students must return their completed forecasting sheet to their Connect teacher by Monday, April 14.
A parent/guardian signature is required on the form.
When students receive their forecasting sheet, they will also watch a brief video explaining how to complete it. This video will be emailed separately to families.
