Dear Monroe Families,
We hope you have a fantastic Spring Break filled with relaxation, fun, and quality time with loved ones. This break is not only a chance for students to recharge but also a much-needed time for our dedicated staff to rest and refresh. Whether you're traveling or enjoying a staycation, we hope everyone makes the most of this well-earned break.
Also, a huge congratulations to our track and field team for their incredible performance yesterday! Their hard work, dedication, and Mustang pride were on full display. Whether it was sprinting, jumping, or pushing through that last lap, they gave it their all! Be sure to give them a high five or fist bump when you see them—Go Mustangs!
We can’t believe it, but when we return, we’ll be in the final stretch of the school year (50+ school days)! There’s so much to look forward to— field trips, our annual student vs staff basketball game, our biggest and most exciting event of the year, Art & Music in the Courtyard (May 30th, save the date), 8th grade trip to Camp Harlow, more track meets, a book fair, Yearbooks, engaging learning opportunities, and other celebrations that bring our Monroe community together. Enjoy the break, and we’ll see you soon, ready to finish the year strong!

Student Forecasting: attention current 6th and 7th grade families! Forecasting for next year’s electives will be happening soon, tentatively in mid to late April. This is an important process where students will select their elective preferences for the upcoming school year. More details will be shared after we return from spring break, so please keep an eye out for further communication. Employees also can be nominated for the new Apple Seed award for early-career staff, the Lifetime Achievement award or the 4J Spotlight award (for individuals or teams). Pay the $100 participation fee separately through SchoolPay which is linked here. Or please reach out about the track participation waivers! We do not want fees to get in the way of anyone participating.

Track practices take place Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 5:20 PM during the season(Wednesday practices will take place from 3:00 PM - 4:20 PM).

Riverview Center for Growth: see the link HERE for more information on Youth Peer and Family Peer Support available. This is available to 4J students and/or caregivers who need support with school attendance and engagement. Help is provided to meet individual goals and there are opportunities for collaborative problem solving within families through a 6 week course (meals provided). Reach out to the school directly or the individuals on the flier linked above.
