Monroe Summer Newsletter

Posted Date: 8/13/24 (5:26 PM)

Welcome back, Monroe families!

We are thrilled to start a new school year, and we look forward to meeting everyone—both our returning families and those who are new to our community. My name is Sun Saeteurn and it’s my 6th year as Principal at Monroe and I couldn't be more excited for this school year. It’s truly an honor to be able to serve the students, staff, and families of the Monroe Community.  We’ve been preparing behind the scenes all summer for students as we’re looking forward to continuing the hard work but more importantly, the heart work around creating a positive climate within our school. You'll see this reflected in our classrooms, offices, and hallways, where high fives, fist bumps, and smiles will be in abundance, along with a strong sense of Monroe pride as we all proudly wear our school “merch.”

Our staff focus this year is on our Climate & Culture, delivering top-notch Instruction, and Collaborative structures so that EVERY student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that by fostering a collaborative environment, both among our staff and with our families, we can achieve great things together. You’ll see a lot of opportunities to engage and collaborate with us throughout the year, and we’re excited to partner with you in supporting your child’s education.

We’re also excited to introduce many new staff members who are eager to join our vibrant Monroe Community. They bring fresh energy and new ideas that will enhance our school in many ways. Let’s give them a warm Monroe welcome as they join us in making this year the best one yet. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and in the meantime if you have any questions our office is open! Feel free to call or stop by as you’ll likely meet our superstar Secretary Stephanie Perez and dedicated custodian Jason Moch. Have a great rest of your summer and please read over our Summer Newsletter carefully as there are key details and information for everyone…GO MUSTANGS!
